The Under Cover Fab engine skid came in last night while I was at the meeting. Put a coat of paint on it and it looks real good.
There are 5 pieces, The main skid, Two angle uprights and two mounting tabs.
The two tabs mount to holes already under the engine mounts.
Nothing too hard here, Just put the bolts in from the top.
Brackets go up, Long angle on the drivers side.
Had some issues getting the skid to bolt up, Had to cope the drivers side angle a little to get everything to fit.
Since I have a motor mount lift I went with the bottom set of holes in the skid. Was using a jack to keep the rear of the skid up. The skid is about an inch wider than the pan on the auto. So make sure it is centered.
With the jack holding the skid up I drilled 1 of the back holes 3/8" and inserted a bolt. Then did the other side.
Once the back is on, Tighten all the bolts up. There are only 10 total. To get to the transmission you need to undo 4 and the skid will come off.
No that much to it.
The jack scuffed the new paint up, So I put another coat on from under the Jeep and it is good to go.
The engine skid fits really good to the t-case skid I put on last week. It should be ready for some rocks now.
Tomorrow will do a lift on my stock gas tank skid. Since I have an 05 the skid is o.k.. I do not see the need in spending any money on a new skid just will make use of the body lift that is on the Jeep and get the gas tank up 1".

Got the rear drive shaft in today. Thanks Daniel at Driveshafts Unlimited
Sunday between the showers I put 7 turns into my upper rear control arms, Looks like I need 4 more.
Length looks good at 20"
Have a leak now need to see where it is coming from, Either the rear nose or the halves of the t-case.
First drive had some vibes but since then feels way better than what I had.
Am going out of town for a week, When I get back will address the rear control arms and put the Aussie in the front.
Nothing to hard about adjusting the control arms. Unbolted the movable connection on the rear upper link. Put a jack under the snout of the rear end and moved it to about 15 degrees and adjusted the upper arm to line up with where the holes were.
Will get an angle gage and look at when I get back.
Will be ready for Eglin on the 18th.

Because of the showers I was not able to do the gas tank lift. The pains of a daily driver.

Played around in the back yard this evening. Had not had a chance to see how the t-case shifted since the cable shifter was installed.
Looks like I need to shorten my lower rear control arms.
Looks like the wheel base is now an 3/4" too long. Will have to see if the lowers can go shorter.
Still flexes pretty good.
Seems to shift a lot better than it did. Time will tell.
