Just went to 35" tires on my TJ. Breaking took a serious hit doing this. Had put a set of rotors on her about 3,000 miles ago do them being warped. Have done a bunch of reading about the best brake pad for our jeeps. A lot of high dollar stuff out there. Black Magic, EBC Yellow or Greens. All are expensive, Work best when hot, Do not like to be daily driven(You have to keep a new layer of pad material on top, Great for race cars, Not a DD)
Found that O'Reilly's had Performance Friction pads in stock for around $80 Bucks. I know it seems high but they have a lifetime warranty. Where else are you going to get a performance pad with a lifetime warranty.
Put them on this afternoon, And WOW is all I can say. Took a short break in ride around the block and you can hear the tires howl when braking, Leaving marks in the road. I would say a very big improvement over what was on my TJ. Before I could stand on them and it would just come to a stop. Now leaving rubber on the road without much brake pedal input.
Will try to give an update in a couple of weeks and see how they are doing then.
