I got an ARB air compressor and didn't really like the idea of it being under the hood with all the heat, dust, etc. Not to mention the nearly 5 feet of positive wire from the battery BEFORE the fuse... (what the heck ARB??). I decided to put it under the passenger seat. Only time will tell if this was the right decision and whether or not I will move it again but I figured having it away from the extremes might make it last longer, we'll see. This required stripping their wiring harness, re-routing it, soldering spliced wires, wire loom, electrical tape and time. I've been told it will be noisy but I don't care. I found the hole through the passenger side firewall to be too restrictive to run the wires with wire loom so I ran it through the drain just beneath the compressor and zip-tied it on top of the frame and up to the battery. If something gets it there it will get the factory wires ran just under it too (please no). Time for a pic. As always, feedback is appreciated.

Very nice work. But if you do any deep water Mudd holes and the inside gets flooded you are putting the compressor at risk. We have a ARB in the engine compartment and it does fine with dirt water and such. But I like that idea of yours.

That's my concern as well but ARB states they've tested it under water so I guess we'll see because like you said I'm sure I'll get into some deep water. What I'm going to do is relocate the air filter with some tubing and a couple fittings. That should at least get the intake up out of the water. I have seat covers so I'll probably try to just run it up the back, underneath the cover, close to the head rest.

If I remember correctly I used 1/4 npc thread fittings.
